Sperm donor

Order Information material

Do you have a friend or known person who wishes to be a known donor?

If you wish to use a known donor, we will gladly help at Diers Klinik
The donor must principally, according to the law, be treated as a sperm donor, in that you are not a couple. Therefore, he has to meet up at the clinic for a consultation where he will answer a line of questions regarding his health and history of illness within the family. The donor must undergo a health examination performed by his own doctor immediately before the consultation at the clinic and before the first donation of sperm. At the clinic, we need to see documentation of this during the consultation.
He must be tested for:

  • HIV 1+2
  • Hepatitis B and C
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Syphilis

His sperm must be frozen at the sperm bank before the treatment and he must also have a blood test taken after the freezing so that the sperm bank can release the sperm units for the insemination treatment.

Before the insemination you have to sign an informed consent where you accept the risks that might occur by using a known donor.
You can read more about the civil rights consequences in connection with the application of a known donor here.

You may gladly contact us if you wish to know further information as well as prices regarding treatment using a known donor.
