Insemination

Order Information material

The consultation

You must have attended a consultation with us before insemination at Diers’ Klinik can begin. The consultation will take place in a safe and calm setting and revolve around you and your wishes for your insemination treatment. We will talk you through the whole process and you will have the opportunity to ask any and all questions you may have.

It may be a good idea to prepare a list of all your questions before coming to the consultation. The most important thing is that you leave the consultation with a clear picture of what happens next and that you feel well-prepared for your insemination treatment.

You will be prepped thoroughly on what you need to do in order to help us determine the exact timing of your ovulation. We also need to determine your chances of achieving pregnancy.

At the consultation, we will also discuss your wishes for a sperm donor (if one is required): Should you choose an anonymous or non-anonymous donor? Would you like more information on the donor, possibly including a childhood photo? Do you have any special wishes? Or do you have a friend or acquaintance who you want to be the donor/father?

You can order a consultation by mail or phone and we recommend that it is scheduled for no later than a month before your first insemination attempt - but quicker turnarounds are also possible. If you live far from Aarhus, the consultation can take place by phone or Skype.

Finally, we recommend that you read our information material thoroughly in preparation for your consultation.
